چکیده
Agarwood is a hard-textured resin, has scent of fragrant with blackish-brown color, and accumulated on the wood agarwood-producing tree. Gyrinops versteegii (Gilg.) Domke one trees, endemic in Lombok Island, West Nusa Tenggara. The resins were formed as plant response to microbial infection. research aimed investigate activity bacterial isolates able induce resin-formation. bacteria isolated from stem G. using mineral medium containing extracts carbon source. selection was carried out based their capability grow selective media different sources (i.e. CMC, xylan) determine enzyme properties. Bacterial high activities form zone degradation that chosen potential planta assay. Five (strain BPSA2a, BPSA2b, BPSB1, BPSB10, BGG2) have lignocellulolytic bacteria. In assay showed after 30 days injection, infection occurred decay surface bark, discoloration inside, widen varying color intensities, burned. Inoculated caused production number extract yield agarwood, respectively, 6,78 %; 6,67 5,30 4,57 %, 4,50 %. Dihydroagarofuran β-agarofuran are most compounds these resins.

Agarwood is a kind of important and precious traditional Chinese medicine. With the decreasing of natural agarwood, artificial cultivation has become more and more important in recent years. Quantifying the formation of agarwood is an essential work which could provide information for guiding cultivation and controlling quality. But people only can judge the amount of agarwood qualitatively by ...
متن کاملProduction of Lignocellulolytic Enzymes by Mushrooms
Biopolymers contained within or derived from plant biomass form by far the largest pool of soil carbon. The decomposition of lignocellulose in the soil environment thus attracts considerable attention. Lignocellulose is composed mainly of the polysaccharidic polymers cellulose and hemicelluloses, and the polyphenolic polymer lignin. During transformation in soils, humic substances (humus, humic...
متن کاملInduction of type I interferons by bacteria.
Type I interferons (IFNs) are secreted cytokines that orchestrate diverse immune responses to infection. Although typically considered to be most important in the response to viruses, type I IFNs are also induced by most, if not all, bacterial pathogens. Although diverse mechanisms have been described, bacterial induction of type I IFNs occurs upon stimulation of two main pathways: (i) Toll-lik...
متن کاملInduction of Mineralized Nodule Formation in Rat Bone Marrow Stromal Cell Cultures by Silk Fibroin
Background: Silk fibroin is a suitable protein for osteogenesis by inducing markers of bone formation in the cultures of osteoblasts, so we examined the ability of this protein to induce mineralized nodules in the rat bone marrow stromal cell cultures. Methods: Bone marrow stromal cells obtained from 4 to 6 weeks old Spruge-Dawely male rats were grown in primary culture for seven days and then ...
